Last Christmas morning both of my children were patients at Children’s Heath Care of Atlanta at Scottish Rite. Early Christmas morning they were greeted by Santa and Mrs. Claus and their helpers. Both children received a bag of amazing, age appropriate gifts. My children were astonished that Santa knew how to find them in the hospital, and my husband and I were absolutely taken aback with the kindness of everyone at Children’s.
Every year Children’s Hospital provides gifts for thousands of children. Some of the children are there for simple procedures, some are there with terminal illnesses. It is an amazing facility with caring, gentle, knowledgeable staff – and I feel fortunate to have this hospital near by.
My daughter was recently at Children’s to have her tonsils out. Again, every staff member we encountered was compassionate and skilled and we are grateful for the excellent care she received.
This year, I am happy to announce that I am coordinating a small toy drive for the hospital. As a way to encourage donations, I am happy to announce the following promotion for September, October, and November sessions. For every new, unopened toy you bring to your session to donate to Children’s I will offer you a complimentary 8×10. I’ll deliver all donated toys to CHOA in time for them to use the toys for Christmas. You may see a list of suggested items – wishlist.
Please help me make a child’s day a bit brighter!
